A simple animation showing how SwitchXS can be used to complete a sentence by adding "switch scanners" using PolyPredix™. The word processor shown above and behind the SwitchXS panel is Text Edit a simple word processor included with Mac OS X.
The animation begins with the text insertion point at the end of the last text line. The adaptive switch is clicked and the panel is scanned until the row and group with the letter "s" is reached. The switch is then clicked to enter the letter "s" at the text insertion point. Then PolyPredix presents several words that it predicts the user is attempting to type. If one of the predictions is correct it can be selected by scanning to and selecting the appropriate number key. In this case it is "s11." PolyPredix not only completes the current word it also predicts the next word. In the example, the next word is in the list and is entered by selecting "s1."
